Hoka Clifton 8, Nike Pegasus 36, Brooks Glycerin 15
What do you look for in a pair of running shoes?
Ready to use straight out of the box, nice soft sole and upper. Sole was initially quite stiff but began to flex nicely after a few miles
Running inspiration?
My dad is a runner and I have always been so inspired by his commitment and pure love of the sport
True to size?
Spot on size wise. I chose ½ a size larger (as I always do with runners) to allow a little wiggle room in the toe box
Out of the box comfort?
9/10
What distance did you run in them?
6 miles / 10k
How did the shoe feel during your run?
Great fit, soft knit upper hugs my foot well. Neutral shoe feels nice and soft with a decent spring. Decent grip and sole shape allows for a smooth rolling foot strike. Felt lighter than expected for such a durable supportive shoe
Favourite Feature?
Sensible traditional stack height
What was your overall opinion of the shoe?
Great all round, comfortable, well made, durable shoe. Perfect for plenty of training miles. I would probably choose a high stack or more lightweight trainer when chasing a PB in a race
Favourite Running Venue?
Bath University / Yate / Cardiff Indoor
